Description

Please join us for "Personalized and Differentiated Learning: A Game Changer for Fostering Student Agency," a thought leadership breakfast led by international leader in education technology Alan November and Michele Eaton, Director of Virtual and Blended Learning at MSD of Wayne Township. This session includes a panel from leading districts.

Breakfast begins at 8:00 AM and is free to all session attendees.

Session Overview:

One of the great benefits of integrating technology into the classroom is that it facilitates personalized learning in a way that was not previously possible. The learning model that districts choose should provide a safe environment where students can explore, create, collaborate, communicate, and reflect on their learning goals. Personalized learning is not a playlist of curriculum activities predetermined by the teacher. In personalized learning, students take responsibility and drive their own learning by making choices that allow them to create as well as consume content.

Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (IN), Houston Independent School District (TX), Forsyth County School District (GA) and DeKalb County School District (GA) share their stories about driving student ownership in their districts.
